Our staff of the month for December is Ms. Gibson! Ms. Gibson is one of our social workers and our Fun Friday coordinator. Sean was chosen for student of the month because he has shown consistent role model behavior throughout his time at High Road School. He a funny and engaging young man who is quick to offer help to peers that need it. Miss Betlej was chosen for staff of the month due to her creativity, empathy, and support to students and staff alike. She has impacted on her colleagues in a major way through her selflessness with time; often offering to help new staff and teachers with tasks and paperwork. High Road School of Wallingford High School barber shop has official open and been named the Hornet’s Lounge! On October 23rd and 24th barbers Sheldon and Jayson visited from their shop “Cutting Edge” to give students free haircuts. Before opening their shop in Bridgeport, they had experience working at another school in New York similar to High Road where they would also volunteer and give haircuts.
