February Student of the Month: Jaiden

Jaiden was chosen for student of the month due to his academic and behavioral resiliency. Jaiden has been a model student in his time at High Road. While he has had ups and downs on his path he has persevered through the rough times and has always quickly ascended back to high behavior level. Quaytin’s Achievements

Quaytin was selected for the student of the month due to his progress academically and socially over the past year. He has gone from having most of his academics delivered in a separate one-to-one setting, to attending rotations in his classroom setting with peers. He has also improved his behaviors dramatically and is now on blue level of our system- the second-highest level! December Student of the Month

Our student of the month for December is Liam! Liam has done a great job adjusting to a new classroom and making even more friends. He has risen to the challenges that come with switching classrooms such as advocating for himself as his teachers get to know him. In addition, Liam has set a goal to make it to Blue day 100. December Staff of the Month

Our staff of the month for December is Ms. Gibson! Ms. Gibson is one of our social workers and our Fun Friday coordinator. She works very hard to make sure we have awesome Fun Friday activities to look forward to every week. Barbershop Visit

High Road School of Wallingford High School barber shop has official open and been named the Hornet’s Lounge! On October 23rd and 24th barbers Sheldon and Jayson visited from their shop “Cutting Edge” to give students free haircuts. Before opening their shop in Bridgeport, they had experience working at another school in New York similar to High Road where they would also volunteer and give haircuts. Taking the High Road into a New Year!

The staff at High Road School of Wallingford High School has been hard at work preparing for the first day of school.
