Celebrating a Decade of Impact

This fall marks Jennifer Johnson’s 10-year anniversary with High Road Schools of Connecticut and B.E.S.T. Academy. Johnson knew from an early age that she wanted to be a teacher. Inspired by the educators in her life–especially her sixth-grade homeroom and science teacher –who helped solidify Johnson’s decision to pursue a career in education. That passion led her to a career in special education, where she has dedicated herself to helping students overcome challenges and achieve success. When Jacob became a student at High Road School in Danielson, CT, his mother, Tiffany, hoped the school could help with Jacob’s behavior and academics. After witnessing a remarkable turnaround in Jacob, it’s safe to say that this school has exceeded Tiffany’s expectations. October Student of the Month Jacob recently began at High Road School of Windham County, transferring from our New London school. His transition to his new school has been flawless. His teacher Ms. Marcille states “Jacob loves his teacher Ms. B and his TAs, as well as Ms. Ulrich."
