We have a new student at Sandy Hill - a fifth grader! He has been a great influence on everyone in the class. He is very interested in science which has made everyone in the class want to learn more about science as well. We have decided to add weekly science experiments to learn more about our lessons and see what we are learning in action. Mr. Wilkie Creates an Engaging Environment

Mr. Wilkie creates a fun educational environment for our students with his sense of humor and energy. When visiting our school, you can find Mr. Wilkie skipping up the stairs, laughing with students, and helping out everywhere he can. Recently, Mr. Wilkie went above and beyond for our students when he became both TA and teacher for his students while the classroom teacher was on leave. AJ was chosen as student of the month because of his extraordinary contagious smile and contagious positive attitude. AJ always lightens the mood and knows exactly how to get someone to laugh and turn their day around. From Aggression to Achievement: Jacob’s Story

When Jacob became a student at High Road School in Danielson, CT, his mother, Tiffany, hoped the school could help with Jacob’s behavior and academics. After witnessing a remarkable turnaround in Jacob, it’s safe to say that this school has exceeded Tiffany’s expectations. The Corner Cafe

High Road School of Southern York is proud to announce the grand opening of The Corner Cafe! Transition students in grades 9-12 have the opportunity to participate in the employment process from application to paycheck! Students learn job readiness skills in the classroom then apply them in this simulated real-world setting. Employees of the Cafe receive a "paycheck" and learn about money management, budgeting and real-life expenses! This steppingstone allows students to experience the workforce in a safe and supportive environment as they prepare for outside employment. Learn more about our school today.
