Camden KAPS is a K-12 Full-Time Emotional Support Program that serves diverse learners from the six Mastery Charter Schools in Camden, New Jersey. KAPS is founded on a single school culture that is based on creating and maintaining a positive peer culture. KAPS fosters a therapeutic classroom environment and emphasizes the social, emotional, and intellectual development of each child by providing differentiated centers-based learning with the support of certified teachers as well as classroom counselors and social workers. KAPS utilizes a behavioral modification system that includes positive rewards to cultivate positive leadership skills and increase pro-social behaviors. KAPS follows Mastery’s rigorous academic model and is committed to continual academic growth and campus improvement.

Our KAPS Program is an early educational therapeutic behavioral model for young students experiencing significant challenges with appropriate behavior, which impedes their ability to participate in a regular education classroom. The separate Camden KAPS campus ensures smaller classes in a nurturing environment, so each child receives the attention and care they need to thrive.
At Camden KAPS, we stress the importance of positive peer culture and foster a therapeutic classroom environment that emphasizes the social, emotional, and intellectual development of each child.

The program utilizes a behavioral modification system that offers rewards to cultivate positive leadership skills and increase pro-social behaviors. Camden KAPS follows a rigorous academic model and is committed to continual academic growth and campus improvement:
