Student of the Month: September

Septembers student of the month is Sergio Gonzales. Sergio is silver level, on one of the highest behavior levels. Sergio has worked very hard to earn silver level and improve his social interaction skills and anger management. Sergio has been a student with High Road Upper for just under 3 years, and came to us with severe behaviors. Presently, Sergio completes assignments, volunteers in class, is friendly with his peers and staff, and is very respectful to others. Student of the Month: Gabriel

What has Gabriel done over the past month to achieve Student of the Month? Gabe recently came into the High Road classroom as an 8th grader. Gabe has meet and exceed all goals set for him this year. Gabe enjoys social studies and gaming. Gabe is working on transitioning out to general education classes very soon. Gabe is very helpful and kind student in the classroom. Student of the Month: Sumarie

The student of the month for September was awarded to Sumarie Velez. Sue is a senior this year and just started her third year at the High Road Program at Ferguson. The overwhelming consensus among the staff who voted was that Sue has dramatically increased her level of participation to start the year. Sue has had an extremely positive attitude on most days which is helping to keep her motivated and on task throughout the day. Chayton has displayed excellent academic performance and behavioral management in the classroom for the first month of school. He always participates during instruction and consistently raises his hand when wanting to comment. Student of the Month: Albert

The September student of the month is Albert R, he was selected because he exemplifies the chosen mindfulness trait of the month every day that he enters the building. Student of the Month: Aaron

Aaron has been making huge strides both academically and socially. Aaron used to wear his hoodie every day and struggled with social interactions and participating in the classroom. Now Aaron almost never wears his hoodie in the classroom, participates in group classroom activities and readily greets everyone he meets on campus.Aaron is a great role model to other students, he is kind and helpful in the classroom.
