What a great year to show our appreciation for our district stakeholders! Many of our students were eager to help create the district boxes filled with candy, hot chocolate, tea, a handmade coaster, and a thank you letter. Students were even able to decorate the boxes with holiday fun designs such as a Christmas tree, Santa’s sleigh or a smiley face. Allie Crews is a new addition to the High Road team for the 2020-2021 school year and has proved to be a collaborative and positive member of the team. Allie works in the newest in-district classroom where she uses her collaborative approach to problem-solve all aspects of her classroom. Meet Our B.E.S.T. Team!

Sierra School of San Diego is excited to introduce their Broad-Based Educational Services & Therapies (B.E.S.T.) Model. The B.E.S.T. Model serves students with a range of development disabilities that impact functional communication and social skills: Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Intellectual Disabilities, Multiple Disabilities, Down Syndrome, Angelman’s Syndrome, and others. Our proprietary Verbal Behavior Programming utilizes Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) strategies to improve language based social and leisure skills, build fine motor skills, reduce maladaptive behaviors, and generalize these skills in real-life situations. Holiday Festivities

This week High Road School of Massachusetts celebrated the upcoming holiday break with gingerbread houses, movies, and photobooth props! Students in all classes participated in making a sweet treat, watching holiday films, and trying out hot chocolate bombs. Students also had the opportunity to purchase holiday gifts for their loved ones from our special holiday school store!
