What impact has Ms. Jackson had on colleagues and students over the past month? Ms. Jackson has worked as an Assistant Teacher in our 11th-grade classroom since November 2018. Staff of the Month: Ms. Cunningham

What impact has Ms. Cunningham had on colleagues and students over the past month? Ms. Cunningham is very consistent, creative and passionate about teaching the students. Ms. Cunningham is a second year teacher that has shown a great capacity to accept knowledge, instruction, constructive criticism and put into practice.! What impact has Moet had on colleagues and students over the past month? Moet is a calming guide in the crazy world of IEPs and 504s. She shares information with all stakeholders and is transparent in the needs of our kids. She always puts them first without second thought but, she supports parents and teachers in offering the best they have in return. Moet allows our teachers to teach and our students to learn. Student of the Month: Denetrya

What has Ms. Stanley accomplished over the past month to achieve Student of the Month? Ms Stanley has been an excellent example of PEAK Academy and this program. She completes all of her work on time. Redirects her peers with dignity and respect. Interact with staff by using appropriate language and behavior. What is something Ms. Stanley has accomplished so far this school year that they are proud of? Above average grades and presently working towards Student Government.

What impact has Kiana had on colleagues and students over the past month? Kianna, “Ms. Ki”, Proctor joined Capital Academy during the 2018-19 school year in the role of Elementary Teaching Assistant. Ms. Ki brought with her a depth of knowledge and experience working with children that helped her quickly build positive relationships with her students. What has Drakari accomplished over the past month to achieve Student of the Month? Since returning this school year Drakari has consistently demonstrated positive behaviors and growth. This month he has earned himself a place in Capital Academy’s Student Government. Drakari is a charismatic student who is always ready to crack a cheesy joke and make staff laugh. What impact has Kirk had on colleagues and students over the past month? Kirk immediately gained a positive rapport with some our most challenging students. Student of the Month: Joseph

What has Joseph accomplished over the past month to achieve Student of the Month? Joseph has worked very hard to earn his way to be a Gold Level student. He regularly volunteers to run daily errands for his teachers, such as; make copies, sweep the classroom, or help empty trash bins. Joseph has also been helping his peers stay on task during Math rotations by showing them examples of math problems during his free time. Student of the Month: Lauren

What has Lauren accomplished over the past month to achieve Student of the Month? Lauren has been named Aurora Day School's Student of the Month. Lauren consistently displays kindness and respect to her peers and staff while juggling a full course load. Lauren has also started working an on-campus job and has been appointed as our yearbook photographer.
