Mr. Dusan has said that Cylis is off to a great start this school year! He is completing all of his assignments, attending all of his classes, and turning in his work in a timely manner. Cylis’ favorite classes are art, science, and math. Additionally, Cylis enjoys participating in class discussions, especially when it is about a topic he has an interest in. In 2004, I first started my career as a Teacher in Wilmington, Delaware. Once the original school in Cecil was built, I taught here for 3 years. During this time, our school grew from 30 students to 67 students, and we needed to split the schools to accommodate for space. From here, I went to build out our new site in Perryville, MD in 2007. Victoria joined the High Road team at the start of the school year and has already proven to be an invaluable member to the team. Caitlin has been doing an awesome job mentoring all of CAP as she is helping several new teachers stay on track! Levi has been attending all of his Zoom sessions and showing great improvement with engagement. Levi loves earning Baby Shark for rewards upon the completion of class. Levi has started vocalizing his wants and needs more with his teachers and parents. Candace has entered this school year with great strides to apply herself with every challenge she is given. Candace is a role model in her classroom with perfect attendance and by displaying leadership and guidance to her fellow classmates. Candace consistently offers encouraging words and bright spirits that are contagious to the students around her. She is always a pleasure to have in class and always puts forth her best effort. Nicolai has started the school year off strong! He is regularly attending classes on Zoom and completing all of his assignments. Mr. Malcolm expressed that Nicolai was an invaluable asset to their classroom. Mr. Malcolm said that Nicolai completes his assignments with thoughtfulness and in a timely manner. Nicolai engages frequently in classroom discussions and is always willing to assist struggling students with their work. After completing a government lesson, Nicolai created a class constitution for room 103 to ensure “shared governance” among the class. Noah has done an exceptional job tackling distance learning. Noah attends all of his scheduled Zoom meetings, he participates in class, and completes all of his independent work that is assigned in a timely manner. Mrs. Allyson is impressed with Noah’s accountability for his schoolwork, and his time-management skills. Lastly, she is proud of Noah’s positive attitude. He frequently cheers on his peers and will congratulate them on a job well done. Mr. Cody has seamlessly transitioned into his new position as the Cherry Hill IDC Site Supervisor. Mr. Cody is passionate about the success of his students, and the people who work alongside him.
