Staff of the Month: Quenitra Hughes

Nashville native and devout mother of three, Ms. Hughes has gone above and beyond to make a positive impact on the students at High Road. Ms. Hughes joined our team in the second semester of last school year and was part of the instrumental team that turned the school around. Ms. Hughes spent the summer working diligently by painting, cleaning, and moving furniture to have our new building ready for the students on their first day. During the month of August Ms. Hughes was consistently one of the first to arrive in the morning and the last people to leave in the afternoon. Without being asked Ms. Hughes managed to greet each student in the morning and ensure building safety by conducting searches as students entered the building. Ms. Hughes also volunteered to distribute the student’s lunches daily. After dismissal Ms. Hughes would stay after school to organize the resource closet enabling teachers to locate materials to build on student’s fundamental skills with ease. When she’s not being great at High Roads of Nashville this Dallas Cowboy’s fan enjoys traveling to Bethel University to watch her son’s on the football field.
