High Road School of Hoffman Estates recently hosted a vibrant celebration in honor of World Autism Month, bringing students, staff, and community members together for a day filled with joy, connection, and inclusivity.

The event featured a variety of engaging activities, starting with students walking laps around the building and taking part in interactive stations led by members of the student government. These stations encouraged teamwork, creativity, and fun for all involved.

One of the highlights of the day was a visit from several special guests – mini horses from Ready Set Ride and therapy dogs from Go Team Therapy Dogs. Students delighted in feeding and bonding with the animals, creating moments of calm and connection.

Local heroes from the Hoffman Estates Fire and Police Departments also joined in the celebration. Students had the chance to climb aboard a real fire engine and check out a police cruiser up close. These interactions not only thrilled students but also helped foster mutual understanding between first responders and the school community.

This memorable day served as a powerful reminder of the importance of acceptance, awareness, and compassion. Thank you to all who contributed to making it such a meaningful and successful event!
