Stephanie Hudson, a 10th-grade student at The High Road School of Harford County, has shown remarkable growth since joining the school in February 2024. One of Stephanie’s standout qualities is her creativity. In her free time, she has developed a passion for making masks, a craft she has been honing for the past five years. Inspired by the creativity of others, Stephanie decided to create her own masks, drawing inspiration from nature, anime, animals, shows, Pinterest, and her own imagination.

While Stephanie’s creative process is fueled by these influences, she has faced challenges in the design phase. Creating a half mask typically takes about a week, requiring 6-10 hours of work, while hooded masks can take up to a month and require 40-50 hours of effort. Despite these challenges, Stephanie has successfully sold her masks online, with one of her creations selling for as much as $500. Her dedication to her craft and entrepreneurial spirit is something to be admired, and we are incredibly proud of her achievements. Stephanie has expressed a desire to grow her skills further and eventually turn her mask-making into a full-time career.

Stephanie’s masks can be purchased on Mercari and Depop. Her pages name is “Maninskirtcreations”. Click the link below to keep up to date with all of Stephanie’s artwork!
