I-Ready Milestones Celebration Brings Laughter and Learning
At Sierra School of Gilbert, we take student achievement seriously, but that doesn’t mean it can’t be fun! Our recent I-Ready milestones celebration was the perfect example of how we inspire students to stay motivated while enjoying the learning process. This engaging event revolved around encouraging students to reach their I-Ready instructional minute goals a program designed to strengthen their academic skills in key areas.
The Challenge
The rules for the I-Ready milestones celebration were simple: the first student to reach their instructional minute goal would win a unique and entertaining prize. What was the prize, you ask? The lucky winner earned the chance to throw a pie at none other than our Director, Mr. Matt!
The excitement spread quickly throughout the school, motivating students to work diligently toward their goals. The spirit of friendly competition filled the air!
The Big Moment
On Friday, the much-anticipated moment finally arrived. Mason emerged as the winner, reaching his I-Ready milestone faster than his peers. With excitement in the air, Mason stepped up to claim his prize. In front of students and staff, he gleefully smashed a pie into Mr. Matt’s face, with a huge smile and laughter. Mason’s pride in his achievement and the joy of the moment were unforgettable.
Why It Matters
Events like the I-Ready milestones celebration show how academic growth and creativity can go hand in hand. By celebrating learning in a fun and engaging way, we create memories that encourage our students to keep striving for success.
Congratulations to Our Students!
