Jordana Fowlin has worked in the education field for a number of years and began her career in Social Work as a school Social Worker in 2018 at High Road School of Wallingford Primary/Middle, before joining the Hamden team at Dunbar Hill School. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Southern Connecticut State University and her Master’s degree in Social Work from Fordham University in New York. Ms. Fowlin will be returning to school in the fall to pursue a degree in Educational Leadership at Sacred Heart University.
Since joining the Hamden team, Ms. Fowlin has taken on many roles within the classroom and the greater school community. It didn’t take long for her to create an environment where students feel safe and supported. She has helped students identify and express feelings in socially appropriate ways during individual sessions and implemented a classroom mood meter that students utilize and enjoy. Ms. Fowlin has also worked with the Dunbar Hill School PTA to ensure all of our students and parents are included and involved in all aspects of the community, both in the building and during distance learning. She does not hesitate to stand in as a teacher, nurse or driver for school field trips. Her commitment to her students and the program is admirable.
When Ms. Fowlin is not at work, she enjoys traveling around the world, spending time with her two daughters, family and friends.
