Student of the Month: Sean

Sean was chosen for student of the month because he has shown consistent role model behavior throughout his time at High Road School. He a funny and engaging young man who is quick to offer help to peers that need it. Sean is not afraid to help out staff with tasks around the building and has established himself at community worksites as a go-to person for store managers and customers alike for his helpfulness and friendly demeanor. Sean continues to be an inspiration to all of the students in the building.

Mr. Berardesca, Operations Manager, has known Sean since he began at High Road five years ago and beams “Since I have been working with Sean he has been a staple in the High Road School community. Students and staff alike have sought him out when they need help or a kind word. Sean is a one of a kind student and continues to set the standard for behavior and academics daily.” Mr. Paone, Sean’s Transition teacher, adds e is a model student who always challenges himself to learn more. Sean is a thoughtful worker in the community who customers and store managers always admire.”

In addition to being an upstanding High Road citizen, Sean has maintained gold status for over 250 days and is also currently teaching himself Algebra and studying United States History on APEX! APEX is a self-lead online program designed to challenge students to apply a deeper understanding and construct their own meaning of the academic content they previously mastered.
