Staff of the Month: Miss Betlej!

Miss Betlej was chosen for staff of the month due to her creativity, empathy, and support to students and staff alike. She has impacted on her colleagues in a major way through her selflessness with time; often offering to help new staff and teachers with tasks and paperwork. She has shared documents for the organization with her peers in order to help make their jobs easier and classroom uniform. She has taken on the media coordinator role and has been busy submitting articles and creating events in order to help the school community as a whole.

She has also had a positive influence on her students by providing them with engaging and challenging lessons where that they can walk away proud that they accomplished something that was not just handed to them. “A dedicated and committed teacher, Ms. B goes above and beyond to help the needs of each one of her students. She’s compassionate with their struggles and treats each one of her students with respect. She presents creative and fun ways to engage the students in their academics and demonstrates a healthy and positive environment for learning” says Ms. Miccio, Teaching Assistant.

Mr. Berardesca, Operations Manager at High Road School of Wallingford High School puts forth “Katherine has been a shining star this year. She has shown her talents in organization, teaching, and creativity. The school community as a whole has benefited from her selflessness and caring which has helped make this program the best that it can be.” Mr. Paone, Transition Teacher, adds “Ms. Betlej is a professional educator who I always look to for guidance and support. Her patience and kindness of the students and staff alike make her a strong part of this schools team”. “Miss.B, makes herself available to her fellow teachers when they need extra clarification or assistance. She is very organized and knowledgeable of the High Road School and SESI model. I am grateful to call her my friend.” echoes Ms. Lieberman, Special Education Teacher.
