Understanding why behavior occurs is the first step toward responding effectively. We will explore the function of behavior, use the ABC model to examine classroom scenarios, and learn proactive strategies for establishing clear behavioral norms and expectations.

Participants will also gain practical guidance for using behavior-specific language and applying universal and individualized supports, including Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs). Attendees will leave with strategies they can use to create consistent, supportive learning environments that help students grow.
