Jeremy’s Leadership and Growth at High Road Academy

High Road Academy of Howard County is proud to spotlight Jay (Jeremy), an outstanding 12th-grade student who joined our program in August 2025. Since enrolling at HRA, Jay has demonstrated tremendous growth, maturity, and dedication, while consistently serving as a positive role model within our school community.
Reflecting on his progress, HRA’s Speech-Language Pathologist, Mrs. Hopper, shared
“Jay is a curious and bright student who brings a positive attitude to each school day.” Additionally, Jay “is always ready to encourage his peers with a compliment or just by engaging them in a conversation.”
Jeremy’s Leadership Through Teamwork and Inclusion
Jay’s commitment to teamwork and inclusion extends beyond the classroom through his involvement at Long Reach High School, where he serves as a student manager for the varsity softball team and participates with the soccer team through the Allied Sports Program.
In these roles, he helps support team activities and contributes to an inclusive environment that brings together students with and without disabilities through meaningful athletic experiences. Whether assisting at practices, cheering on teammates, or helping ensure events run smoothly, Jay consistently demonstrates leadership, responsibility, and a genuine commitment to supporting others.
We are truly proud of Jay’s accomplishments and look forward to seeing the many ways he will continue to learn, lead, and make a positive impact in the years ahead.
