April marks Autism Awareness Month, and The Graham Academy is recognizing it with purpose, celebration, and a renewed commitment to supporting students with autism and behavioral challenges across Northeast Pennsylvania.

With campuses in Kingston, Luzerne, and Mayfield, The Graham Academy serves more than 250 students from 45 school districts. The school provides a supportive, structured environment designed to help children and young adults develop the skills needed to return to their home districts and succeed alongside their peers.

“Our role is to work with students with behavioral and social and emotional challenges with the intent of getting them back to district,” explained Carol McGrane, regional director of The Graham Academy. By focusing on individualized support, starting as early as ages 5 to 7, the school has become a trusted partner for districts and families alike.

Recently named a “Best of the Best” winner in the Special Education Facility category, The Graham Academy continues to earn recognition for its innovative approach and unwavering dedication to student growth.

Each month at Graham brings a new theme that enriches the learning experience, but April stands out as a time to highlight the importance of inclusion, celebrate student progress, and raise awareness about autism in the broader community.
