High Road School of Fairfield County Students Shine at Hollywood-Themed Prom

A Hollywood-Themed Prom to Remember
Under the bright lights of a Hollywood-themed celebration, students from High Road School of Fairfield County recently experienced a memorable off-campus prom. The occasion highlighted the incredible growth, community, and support that surround students every day.
Getting Prom Ready Together
In preparation for the big event, several young men visited Primo’s Barber Shop for fresh haircuts and styling. The team at Primo’s created a welcoming and comfortable experience for every student. As students left the shop, their smiles reflected pride, confidence, and excitement for prom.
On prom day, excitement filled the building as students and staff worked together to prepare for the celebration. Staff members assisted students with hair styling, makeup, ties, dresses, and final touches.
“Watching students support one another, compliment each other’s outfits and celebrate together was a powerful reminder of the strong sense of community within our school,” said Victoria Williams, operations manager and special education teacher at the High Road School of Fairfield County.
Celebrating Community and Confidence
Once everyone was dressed and ready, students traveled to the Norwalk Community Hall, where they enjoyed an afternoon full of dancing, a pasta dinner, drinks, and a photo booth for capturing memories. Throughout the event, students demonstrated incredible social skills and confidence.
Celebrations like prom provide meaningful opportunities for students to build relationships, strengthen social-emotional skills, celebrate accomplishments, and experience important milestones in a supportive environment.
“We are incredibly proud of all of our students for the way they represented themselves and our school community throughout the event,” said Williams.
