Wright City Students Enjoy a Day of Field Day Fun

The High Road School of Wright City’s recent Field Day was a fun day outside of the classroom for students. The event gave students an opportunity to connect across programs while celebrating teamwork, encouragement, and school pride.
“We were grateful to host the event at the local football field, which provided the perfect space for students to run, play and enjoy all the day’s activities,” said Meaghan Bell, IEP coordinator High Road School of Wright City. “The large field allowed everyone plenty of room to participate safely.”
Field Day Activities Bring Students Together
A variety of fun activities kept everyone moving throughout the day. One standout event was freeze dance, where students showed off their best dance moves and practiced listening carefully as they froze when the music stopped. Another highlight was the three-leg race, which brought lots of laughs as partners worked together to cross the finish line.
Students also enjoyed playing with bubbles, creating a fun and playful atmosphere on the field. Water balloons added a refreshing splash of fun and helped everyone cool off.
Games, Challenges, and Teamwork
For students who love challenges, the long jump gave them a chance to test their strength and agility, while the ring toss let them practice aim and coordination in a fun and friendly way. The always-popular relay race brought teams together as students raced to the finish, encouraging teamwork, speed, and determination.
“We are so proud of everyone who participated and helped make the day so memorable,” said Bell.
