Staff Spotlight: Melanie Fritchman

Melanie Fritchman has been a great addition to our Milford In-District Classroom. Since joining us midway through last school year, she has brought positive energy, a solution-oriented mindset, and a strong commitment to supporting our students.

Creating Engaging Learning Experiences

Melanie goes above and beyond to create engaging lessons and hands-on activities, especially for Best Case Fridays.

She also continues to invest in her own growth by asking questions, attending professional learning communities (PLCs), participating in morning meetings, and continuing her education.

Melanie’s dedication to both her students and her own professional growth has made her a valued member of the High Road School at Sussex County community.

We are so lucky to have Melanie on our team. Keep up the great work, Melanie!

Student Spotlight: Izayah R.

Izayah has become a standout example of growth, maturity, and positive leadership in our school community.

He has demonstrated consistent improvement in both his academic engagement and personal decision-making. Each morning, Izayah arrives in full uniform, prepared, focused, and ready to learn.

Demonstrating Growth and Accountability

Izayah has recently shown a new level of accountability, taking ownership of his actions and making thoughtful choices to avoid repeating past mistakes.

He actively seeks assistance when needed and has begun encouraging his peers to stay on task and complete their work.

Building Confidence Through Self-Advocacy

Izayah has also developed a respectful advocacy style by expressing his needs clearly and calmly rather than making demands.

This growth has strengthened his relationships with staff and peers and has helped him navigate challenges with confidence.

Izayah’s progress is a testament to his hard work, growing maturity, and commitment to becoming the best version of himself. We are proud to recognize the progress he continues to make as part of the High Road School at Sussex County community.
