Students from across the SESI Schools of Philadelphia, part of the Opportunity Network, were recently recognized during the School District of Philadelphia’s 2026 Valedictorian and Salutatorian Celebration, held May 20 at the SDP Constance Clayton Center in Philadelphia. During the event, students were honored for their academic excellence and leadership.

Philadelphia Valedictorians Honored for Achievement

The annual celebration honored students whose academic achievement, determination, and leadership left a lasting impact on their school communities. In addition, families, educators, and supporters gathered to celebrate the accomplishments of this year’s honorees as they prepare for their next chapters.

Supporting Student Success and Future Opportunities

Excel Academies of Philadelphia offers students a different path through high school with a small, supportive environment focused on academic success, emotional wellness, and social growth. Available to students ages 15-21, the tuition-free program provides an accelerated path to graduation, allowing students to earn up to 10 credits per year and graduate in 2.5 years or less.

The Achieve and Continuation Academies help students get back on track. The transitional programs serve students who’ve faced behavior challenges in a traditional school environment. With a structured, supportive environment focused on academics, behavior, and personal growth, students build the skills and confidence needed to return to their home school and thrive.
