Phoenix Academy Seniors Celebrate Ahead of Graduation Day

Honoring the Class of 2026
Phoenix Academy recently hosted a special luncheon to celebrate the achievements of the Class of 2026, honoring 109 graduating seniors as they prepare to take the next step in their journeys.
The event brought students, staff, and families together for an afternoon filled with recognition and celebration. Seniors received certificates of graduation and achievement awards while also sharing memories and spending time together as a class before commencement.
A Meaningful Graduation Celebration for Seniors
For many students, the milestone represents perseverance, resilience, and the determination to take charge of their education. Through access to credit recovery opportunities and individualized support, students worked to overcome academic and personal challenges to reach graduation day.
This graduating class also holds a unique place in the school’s history as the final graduating class of Phoenix Academy, making the celebration especially emotional for students and staff alike.
“This memorable afternoon was the perfect stepping stone to next week’s official graduation ceremony,” said Joseph Gettle, school director. “Seeing these students overcome adversity to reach this moment makes the upcoming ceremony especially meaningful for our entire school community.”
Looking Ahead to Commencement
The formal commencement ceremony, hosted by the School District of Lancaster, will take place at Penn Medicine Park on Wednesday, May 27, where the Class of 2026 will officially walk across the stage surrounded by the support of family, friends, and educators cheering them on.
