Graham Academy hosts ‘Light It Up Blue’
In celebration of April’s World Autism Awareness Month, The Graham Academy hosted its annual “Light It Up Blue” Autism Awareness event on Sunday on Public Square in Wilkes-Barre.
This family-friendly day included vendors, face painting, food trucks, live music, family resources, and more — all focused on promoting autism acceptance and celebrating the amazing students at the school.
serves. All proceeds from race registrations will benefit the A Moment of Magic Foundation, a nonprofit that uplifts medically vulnerable children through the power of play, creativity, and emotional support.
Live entertainment included:
•DJ Murphy beginning at noon.
•Sara, of Graham Academy, sang the national anthem at 1 p.m., with DJ Murphy returning afterward.
•Arts in Motion started at 1:30p.m.
•The Chase Who band started at 2:30 p.m.
•Andrew Nicholas and the Kennedy Band started at 3:30 p.m.
•DJ Murphy returned to the stage from 4:30 to 6 p.m.
