Student Spotlight: Success at High Road School of Bucks County

Believing in Every Student’s Potential
At the High Road School of Bucks County, educators believe that every student carries unique potential, and when that potential is nurtured with care, encouragement, and opportunity, remarkable things happen. Two students’ journeys have been nothing short of inspiring.
Nick’s Journey of Growth and Accountability at High Road School of Bucks County
Nick Koren-Johnson is a student who his teachers can rely on for strength and accountability. His development has been impressive and inspiring. Teachers and staff have noted a transformation in how he approaches challenges: with thoughtful reflection, increased self-awareness, and a readiness to take initiative.
Nick is an intelligent and loving human who is an example of how students can flourish when they are in a space that focuses on strengths and allows room for growth. As a senior this year, he is managing his typical senior workload and completing his tech school education at Middle Bucks Institute of Technology (MBIT). He plans to become a welder full-time once he completes his training and exams.
Angelee’s Journey of Determination and Confidence at High Road School of Bucks County
Another standout student is Angelee Riddle, who continuously demonstrates a quiet determination and a willingness to engage in both academic and personal growth. What’s been most striking is not just the progress itself, but the way it’s unfolded with consistency, resilience, and a growing sense of confidence.
Angelee has learned to advocate for herself and is not afraid to stand up for others. You will always find her on the side of what she believes is right. She plans to continue her education after graduation and become an X-ray technician.
Inspiring Success Stories at High Road School of Bucks County
“Both students’ contributions in class have become more insightful, their interactions more grounded, and their presence more assured. It’s clear that they’re not just learning, they’re thriving,” said Bryan Freberg, M.Ed., program director, High Road School of Bucks County.
This growth is a testament to the students’ hard work, the support of our dedicated team, and the power of believing in one’s own ability to evolve.
We celebrate these students not only for what they’ve achieved, but for how they’ve grown. They’re showing us all that progress is not about where you start, but how you rise.
