For many students at our accelerated high schools in Philadelphia, graduating once felt out of reach because of circumstances that made it hard to stay on track. But on June 9, that goal became a reality. Seniors Lead Lessons and Promote Autism Awareness

At Philadelphia Continuation Academy, seniors are taking the lead in a meaningful, hands-on service-learning project that supports both their graduation requirements and the emotional well-being of their peers. The students are designing and delivering social-emotional learning lessons to others during dedicated blocks in April. These peer-led lessons are the result of thoughtful research and planning, empowering our seniors to model leadership, empathy, and collaboration.
