Creativity and community came together during Sierra School of Scottsdale’s first Brushes & Bonding Night, a new event designed to bring students, families, and staff closer through art.

Led by local artist Rachel Ober, owner of Rachel’s Young At Art Studio, families explored two projects: a color-by-number canvas for structured artists and a playful salad spinner activity for those who love expressive, process-driven art.

“It was wonderful to see families and staff come together in such a joyful and creative way,” said Jameril Johnson, interim director of Sierra School of Scottsdale. “We look forward to making Brushes & Bonding Night an annual tradition.”

The event captured what Sierra School values most: community, creativity, and connection. Parents shared how refreshing it was to slow down and see their children’s creativity shine. By the end of the evening, participants left not only with beautiful art pieces but with memories that deepened their sense of belonging.

Sierra School of Scottsdale extends heartfelt thanks to Rachel’s Young At Art Studio for partnering in such a meaningful event.
