The Graham Academy has made ongoing efforts to strengthen relationships with local first responders and promote a positive, safe environment. Students and staff had the opportunity to meet with officers and firefighters, explore their vehicles, and learn more about the important work they do to keep the community safe.

The visit’s biggest stars were four-legged K9 officers Mack and Spike, who happily soaked up plenty of attention and affection from students and staff alike.
“We are so grateful to the police and fire departments for taking the time to visit our school,” said Carol McGrane, regional director of The Graham Academy.
“These interactions mean so much to our students and help reinforce a sense of trust and safety within our community.”

Officers commended students for their kindness and respect and admired the dedication of the school’s staff. “You truly make a difference in the lives of these children!” said a member of the Courtdale Police Department.
