High Road Upper School of Prince George’s County is where students with academic, emotional, and behavioral needs uncover their potential through individualized learning that goes beyond what most classrooms can offer. In our private day schools, we meet each student where they are.

Smaller class sizes and high-quality, student-centered instruction allow our teachers, therapists, and staff to build strong connections with each student in nurturing, respectful, structured, and positive learning environments. Drawing from a comprehensive range of specialized services, High Road School educators implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) to help each student shine—at school, at home, and in the community.

  • Gary Holds a master’s degree in educational leadership from Hood College and a bachelor’s degree in educational studies from The Catholic University of America. Gary has been an educator in public and nonpublic schools for over 25 years. He has been a teacher, assistant principal, dean of students, and principal in his previous roles. He is currently the director of High Road Upper School in Lanham, Maryland. Gary brings a wealth in knowledge to this role and is passionate about doing all he can to help the students and staff to succeed.

    Gary’s core values are: academic excellence, positive school climate, and effective relationships. He uses these values to provide the best support for the community of High Road. Gary looks forward to continue working with his team to provide the best educational experience possible for the students at High Road School as they plan for their futures and their lives.

  • Kelly holds a Bachelor of Arts in French and Yiddish from the University of Texas at Austin and a Master of Science in Special Education Teaching from Capella University. Kelly has over 15 years of experience in the field of special education, and has served as a teacher, special education coordinator, and director of student support in her previous roles.

    Kelly’s values reflect a commitment to lifelong learning, student growth and well-being, transparency, and ethical conduct. In 2024, Kelly officially joined the leadership team at High Road Upper School as education director.
