High Road Kicks Off Back to School with Team Building

Students at High Road School of York had a great first week back to school as they began building a strong foundation for a successful year. In each class, students spent the week learning the High Road New Peer Packet, which helped introduce important expectations, social skills, and strategies for success.
A Positive Back to School Start
Junior high students had the opportunity to apply what they learned by participating in a fun and engaging High Road Family Feud game. This activity allowed them to reinforce key concepts while working together and enjoying some friendly competition.
Building Skills Through Teamwork
All classes also took time to create norm posters to illustrate their learning and highlight the expectations that will help make their classrooms positive and productive environments. In addition, students participated in numerous social skills and team-building activities throughout the week, helping them strengthen relationships, build trust, and start the school year on a positive note.
Overall, it was an exciting and productive first week, and students are off to a great start!
