High Road Students Shine at the Transition Olympics

High Road School of Cecil County competed in the 5th annual Mid-Atlantic Transition Olympics and came home with First Place Honors.

This fun, intentional event is part of the programming designed to give students an opportunity to participate in true-to-life jobs within a supportive school setting. The ultimate goal is to develop the students’ job readiness and social skills to maximize their success in the real world.

Hands-On Life Skills Challenges

This year’s hands-on life skills challenges included:

“Menu Math”
“Grocery Bagging”
“Handy Home Fixes”
“Clean-Up Challenge”
“School Supply Order”
“Call and Capture: Take a Message”
“Job Application”
