The Graham Academy wins at the 2025 Angels in Autism Awards

Angels of Autism Awards Honor Graham Academy Educators
The Graham Academy is proud to celebrate two of its outstanding educators, Olivia Kopetchny and Amberly Glaser. The 2025 Angels of Autism Awards gala, hosted by S.A.F.E., Inc. (Supporting Autism and Families Everywhere), recently honored both teachers. The recognition is for their exceptional work at The Graham Academy and their ongoing commitment to supporting the autism community.
Recognizing Leadership and Advocacy in Autism Education
The gala celebrated S.A.F.E.’s 30 years of support and honored individuals impacting autism awareness, acceptance, and inclusion.
Kopetchny was nominated for the Progressive Pathfinders Award. This award recognizes professionals, including coaches, therapists, and counselors, who dedicate themselves to helping individuals with autism reach their full potential.
Glaser earned a Beacon of Learning Award nomination, honoring educators who innovate and guide students on the autism spectrum.
“The Angels of Autism Award is a symbol of hope, compassion, and the belief that every individual with autism deserves to shine.”
Said Carol McGrane, regional director, The Graham Academy.
Voices of Compassion and Inclusion at The Graham Academy
When families faced uncertainty, Kopetchny and Glaser advocated for them, guided them, and helped children find and use their voices. Their work has built bridges between individuals on the spectrum and the broader community, ensuring that acceptance is not just spoken, but lived.
A Shared Commitment to Understanding and Inclusion
The Angels of Autism Awards highlight the compassion, innovation, and tireless dedication of individuals who often work quietly behind the scenes. The recognition reframes autism, not only as a set of challenges, but as a spectrum of strengths, talents, and possibilities.
Families, professionals, and advocates gathered at the gala to foster understanding and inclusion. The Angels of Autism Awards continue to shine a light on those whose work uplifts the autism community and strengthens the bonds of compassion.
“Our honorees have shown extraordinary dedication,” said McGrane. “They remind us that autism is not a limitation, it is a different way of seeing the world, full of brilliance, creativity, and possibility.”
