Student Spotlight: Zayden’s Growth at BEST Academy

Meet Zayden

Zayden is a bright and energetic second grader who joined B.E.S.T. Academy in the spring of 2024. When Zayden first started, he faced some challenges with academic focus and understanding the school’s rotational model. However, with consistent support from staff and the establishment of daily routines, Zayden quickly began to thrive.

Building Comfort Through Routine and Relationships

Through trusting relationships with his teachers and staff, Zayden learned that he would regularly visit all of his favorite places, including the motor lab and the NEEB room. This helped him feel more comfortable transitioning between activities and engaging in classroom tasks. Although Zayden continues to benefit from adult support throughout the day, he now readily participates in all his rotations and tolerates a variety of academic activities.

Celebrating Growth and Personality

Zayden is known for his amazing smile and big personality, which light up any room he enters. His presence brings joy to staff and peers alike. The entire team at BEST Academy is incredibly proud of Zayden’s progress and looks forward to supporting his ongoing academic, social, and behavioral growth and success!
