Student Spotlight: Dominic at Sierra School of Gilbert

A Strong First Year at Sierra School of Gilbert
This is Dominic’s first year at Sierra School of Gilbert, and he has made tremendous progress since joining the school in July. Dominic is thriving in his new environment, building friendships and finding success both academically and socially.
During his first semester, Dominic earned the prestigious Blue Chain award twice, a meaningful recognition of his effort and growth. He also earned Step 4 for several weeks and participated in off-campus Fun Friday events, showing increased confidence and engagement.
Known for Kindness and Connection
One of Dominic’s many amazing traits is how friendly he is. He is well known for his famous hugs and his kind, caring nature toward both classmates and staff. His warmth and positivity help strengthen the sense of community on campus.
Growth Through Support and Collaboration
Before joining Sierra Gilbert, Dominic had a very negative experience at another private day school. Because of that experience, his parents were understandably concerned that enrolling at Sierra might lead to a similar outcome.
Dominic’s family has worked closely with the team at Sierra School of Gilbert, along with outside supports, to ensure he has the structure and encouragement he needs to succeed. This collaboration has played a key role in helping Dominic get back on track.
Progress Worth Celebrating
With the right supports in place, Dominic is making academic and social growth that is truly worth celebrating. We are incredibly proud to have Dominic at our school, and we look forward to watching him continue to grow into a kind, smart, and funny young man.
