Celebrating Achievement at the Southbridge Middle School Honors Breakfast

The High Road School at Southbridge team is proud to celebrate two outstanding students, Elijah B. and Raymond M. Both of whom earned academic Honors for Quarter 1 and were invited to attend the Southbridge Middle School Honors Breakfast. Their achievement reflects hard work, perseverance, and both academic and personal growth.
Meeting Rigorous Academic Standards in the Greater School Community
This recognition is especially significant because the students are part of a specialized program. They met the same rigorous criteria for honors recognized throughout the middle school.
“Both students have demonstrated remarkable academic improvement, along with meaningful growth in their social and emotional skills,” said Miguelina Felix, operations manager, High Road School at Southbridge.
Family Support and School Collaboration Matter
Family members joined them for the celebratory breakfast, reinforcing the important role that support at home and school plays in student success.
“I felt extremely proud of Raymond for earning high honors,” said his mom. “It was a very well-deserved reward for all his hard work!”
Student Growth Recognized at the Southbridge Middle School Honors Breakfast
Raymond has shown exceptional commitment to his goals, including attending the gym in an inclusive setting and earning high honors – a distinction awarded to only three students in the entire middle school program.
Elijah has impressed his teachers with his independence and confidence, not only in the classroom but also by participating in after-school activities on his own within the mainstream setting.
“I feel extremely proud when he reaches the honor roll,” said Elijah’s mom. “I am so proud because he was able to set a goal for himself and succeed. I love watching the confidence he gets each time.”
We are incredibly proud of Elijah and Raymond and grateful to their families, who continue to champion their success.
“Their accomplishments reflect the heart of our work at High Road School – supporting students as they grow, gain confidence, and discover their strengths in school and beyond.
The boys are equally proud and happy to celebrate their accomplishments. Elijah said that it felt good to be recognized, and Raymond added it was “really nice to be called for high honors, plus the food was tasty.”
