Sierra School at San Bernardino City Students Attend District Prom

Students from Sierra School at San Bernardino City recently joined peers from the San Bernardino City United School District at this year’s prom, marking an important step in the school’s ongoing partnership with the district and its commitment to inclusive student experiences.

“This was such an exciting moment for us, as none of our students had previously attended the district prom,” said Heidi Kutz, school director, Sierra School at San Bernardino City. “It was truly special to see this milestone reached. We are proud to partner with the district to ensure our students have access to the same opportunities as their peers.”

For many Sierra students, the prom was their first time experiencing a formal dance.

“The district has done an amazing job fostering inclusion and creating opportunities for all students to feel welcomed and involved,” said Kutz. “We are incredibly grateful and look forward to creating more opportunities for first-time experiences and ensuring ongoing inclusion so all students feel welcomed and supported.”
