High Road Student Jiovanni Earns High Honors Through Hard Work

High Road School at Southbridge Student Success Story
Jiovanni R., a student at the High Road School at Southbridge, is proving what’s possible when determination meets the right support system.
Celebrating Academic Progress and Program Success
This month, the school is celebrating his achievement of earning high honors during the most recent quarter, joining just three other students across the entire middle school to receive this distinction. Jiovanni has also maintained Step 4, the highest level in the High Road program, for eight consecutive weeks.
“Jio came to us with layered needs, but he has worked incredibly hard every single day,” said Miguelina Felix, operations manager at the High Road School at Southbridge. “His success shows what happens when students, families, and staff work toward the same goals. We couldn’t be more proud of him.”
Family Perspective: Pride in Growth and Determination
His mother shared her own pride in her son’s accomplishments.
“We are most proud that through all the challenges, Jio has pushed himself to do extremely well,” she said. “He has been an amazing example for others, and we love him very much. We want him to know he is capable of anything.”
Consistent Support Creates Opportunities for Growth
Felix said that Jiovanni’s story is a powerful reminder of why her team’s work matters.
“When everyone stays on the same page and provides consistent support, even the biggest challenges can turn into opportunities for growth,” she said.
Congratulations to Jiovanni on his wonderful achievement!
