Graham Academy Named Best Special Education Facility

For the second year in a row, The Graham Academy took home gold for Best Special Education Facility in the Times Leader Media Group’s Best of the Best 2026 awards, a respected, community-voted recognition across Northeastern Pennsylvania.

Community Recognition for Graham Academy

Chosen by families, supporters, and community members, this honor reflects the trust placed in the academy’s commitment to serving students with special needs.

“The recognition celebrates the dedication of our staff, the resilience of our students, and the strong partnerships with families and school districts that make our mission possible,” said Carol McGrane, regional director of The Graham Academy.

Determined entirely by community votes, the award recognizes the daily efforts of teachers, behavior technicians, therapists, and support staff, as well as the perseverance and growth of the students themselves.

Why the Best Special Education Facility Recognition Matters

The award win highlights the importance of specialized educational programs and the impact of individualized academic, behavioral, and social support.

“Being named Best of the Best Gold is both an honor and a reminder of the responsibility to continue providing exceptional care, education, and advocacy for our students,” said McGrane.
