Final Word Campaign Connects Students with Philadelphia Sports Marketing Professional

With the school year winding down, students at Excel Middle Years Academy had the opportunity to hear from a professional whose career was built on networking and a passion for helping others succeed.
Learning from Real-World Experience
As part of the school’s Final Word Campaign, the Middle Years community welcomed Mike Morak. The initiative provides students with encouragement, guidance, and practical advice before summer break. Morak is a sports and entertainment marketing consultant and event director.
During his visit, Morak shared his personal and professional journey. Students learned about the experiences that shaped his career. He discussed the importance of setting goals and overcoming challenges. He also encouraged students to pursue opportunities aligned with their interests and strengths.
How the Final Word Campaign Inspires Future Success
Students asked thoughtful questions about career pathways, overcoming obstacles, and following their passions. The discussion encouraged students to think about their own futures and the steps they can take to achieve their goals.
The event was made possible through the efforts of teacher Sandy Tanner, whose outreach helped bring Morak to campus. Connecting students with accomplished professionals from the community helps students explore future possibilities while reinforcing the value of hard work, perseverance, and self-belief.
