A United School Community Against Bullying
“It warms my heart to see students, staff, parents, and visitors all united around one important message: that we stand together when it comes to mental health, self-esteem, depression, and bullying,” said Sadiqa D. Lucas, M.Ed., director, Excel Middle Years Academy. “I am so appreciative of their support in helping us kick off Bully Prevention Month in such an inspiring way and for reminding us how vital these conversations are.”
The day reinforced that bullying is unacceptable in any form and encouraged staff and students to work together to create a safer school environment.
Each student received a colorful wristband printed with the messages “Say No to Bullying” and “Hold a Hand” as a reminder to practice kindness every day.
