Excel Academies Principal Earns 2026 CPS Game Changer Honor

Chicago Excel Academies (CEA) is celebrating Principal Elizabeth Landig, who was named a 2026 Chicago Public Schools Principal Game Changer. CPS announced the honor during the Options Schools Back-to-School Leadership Kick-Off Celebration. The award recognizes school leaders who show vision, lead continuous improvement, and keep students at the center of their work.
What the CPS Game Changer Honor Recognizes
Landig’s recognition reflects her student-centered leadership and the impact she continues to make across the district.
“This Game Changer Award is a testament to the hard work of the Chicago Excel Academies team,” Landig said. “I felt proud to represent us onstage at Orchestra Hall as our school was recognized for advancing student achievement. We have worked hard to increase rigor in our classrooms and promote the school connectedness that leads to student success.”
