August 2025 Student Spotlight

William
William has attended Sierra School of Peoria since 2022. His current teacher, Ms. Lininger, has seen a significant change since she’s known William and shares, “William has truly come a long way. It’s wonderful to experience his quirky sense of humor on a daily basis. When he started with us, that was overshadowed by the difficulties he had in the classroom. Now he is a role model for other peers.” Most recently, William displayed accountability during a lesson on iReady. When he was having difficulties, he persevered through the adversity and asked for help!
Working through the difficulties that come with changes of new classrooms, new staff, and new peers over the years, William has worked very hard to improve his ability to ignore the negative behaviors of others, participating in academic tasks, problem-solving, listening to others, taking advice, and taking time to process. Congratulations to William! All of the staff and your friends at Sierra School of Peoria are so proud of you!
