Building Community: Alhambra Police Visit Sierra School

Alhambra Police Department Visit Promotes Safety and Connection
Building strong community connections is a cornerstone of Sierra School of Alhambra’s mission. Recently, the school welcomed members of the Alhambra Police Department to campus as part of its ongoing effort to strengthen relationships and promote a positive, safe environment for students.
To show appreciation for the department’s work in keeping the community safe, staff hosted a morning of gratitude. School leaders served coffee and traditional Mexican sweet bread, creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere for both staff and visiting officers.
Students Enjoy Positive Interaction with Local Officers
As students arrived on campus, smiling staff and officers greeted them at the door. The excitement was clear as students received small tokens of appreciation, including stress balls, coloring books, and badge stickers, which many wore proudly throughout the day.
The event gave students a chance to see law enforcement in a positive, approachable light, and it allowed staff and officers to share stories and build mutual understanding.
Community Collaboration Strengthens Student Relationships
“We are grateful to the Alhambra Police Department for its partnership and presence,” said Stephanie Helguera, MS, director of Sierra School of Alhambra.
“Events like these remind us of the importance of community collaboration and how, together, we can create a supportive and safe learning environment for all.”
