Achieve Academy of Escambia County has earned recognition through the Florida Department of Education’s Florida School Recognition Program based on the school’s academic performance during the 2025–2026 school year. The recognition reflects results on the Florida Assessment of Student Thinking (FAST), including Progress Monitoring 3 (PM3) assessments.

Recognized for Academic Performance and Progress

Led by School Director Christopher Wooten and Director of Education Leslie Travis, Achieve Academy was one of 17 schools in Escambia County recognized through the program. The Escambia County School District operates 68 public schools and serves more than 36,000 students.

The Florida School Recognition Program recognizes schools for sustained academic performance or significant improvement. Eligible schools may receive financial awards based on criteria established by the state, including school grades and year-over-year improvement.

“This recognition is a tremendous accomplishment for our school and reflects the collective commitment of our students, teachers, staff, and leadership team,” said Travis. “It is a testament to our continued alignment with district and state academic standards, our focus on rigorous and meaningful instruction and our commitment to maintaining high expectations for every student.”

Supporting Student Success at Achieve Academy

Achieve Academy staff work to create supportive classrooms where students receive rigorous instruction alongside clear academic expectations. The recognition also reflects the efforts of students who have responded to those expectations and demonstrated meaningful academic progress.
