In celebration of April’s World Autism Awareness Month, The Graham Academy brought autism awareness to the Wilkes-Barre community by recognizing individuals living with autism and those who care and support them.

On Wednesday, Wilkes-Barre Mayor George Brown honored four The Graham Academy special needs students who joined the city hall staff for meetings and “assumed” leadership roles.

Aiden Temple served as honorary mayor, while Josh Bonham served as honorary city council member. Josh Thomas served as honorary fire chief, and Connor Jacukowicz served as honorary police chief. The Graham Academy services local school districts in three locations – Kingston (elementary school), Luzerne (high school,) and Mayfield.
