As a therapeutic school for K-12 students in the Southeast Delco School District who are experiencing emotional, behavioral, and academic challenges, Delco Academy’s mission is to ensure that students are able to transition to a less restrictive environment with marked improvement in behavior, attendance, and academics. Smaller class sizes and more individualized care and attention create the nurturing environment our students need to succeed.

Through a therapeutic classroom environment that emphasizes the social, emotional, and intellectual development of each child, students are motivated to reach their maximum potential and achieve success. Our students are also able to develop positive leadership skills while increasing pro-social behaviors as a result of a combination of our behavioral modification system and clinical supports which include a partnership with Crozer Health.  Through this partnership, we can provide on-site individual and group counseling as well as medication management and psychological evaluations.

To create a challenging, academically rigorous, and safe environment for all students, we align our curriculum with Southeast Delco School District and follow their district calendar.

Students and families also have access to services such as:

  • Parent-teacher conferences
  • Open house
  • Connection to community resources
