January Student Spotlight: Celebrating Aleysha’s Growth

High Road School of Hartford is proud to announce Aleysha as our January Student Spotlight! This honor recognizes her remarkable personal and academic growth this school year. Although Aleysha began the year facing challenges with using her coping strategies, she has worked diligently, with the support of our dedicated staff, to develop and use these tools when confronted with difficult situations.

Aleysha’s commitment to her growth is evident in every area of her school life.

“She’s made incredible gains academically, is attending more consistently, and is doing a wonderful job managing her frustrations by using her coping skills,” said Mr. Rodriguez, Program Lead.

“Aleysha is always happy to lend a helping hand around the school, whether it’s assisting with snack or lunch, and she’s become a true leader by kindly reminding her peers to make positive choices. I am so proud of the growth she continues to show every day!”

In the classroom, Aleysha’s teachers have noticed the changes, too. “Aleysha has been making a lot of improvement utilizing her coping skills and communicating her needs and feelings with peers and staff. She participates in academics and rotations and displays perseverance with difficult lessons and tasks,” shared Ms. Ogums, her classroom teacher.

Aleysha’s positivity, willingness to help others, and determination to overcome challenges have had a powerful impact on our school community. We celebrate Aleysha’s achievements and look forward to seeing her continue to grow and inspire those around her!
