Excel Middle Years Academy proudly celebrated World Autism Month with a spirit of unity and understanding. The celebration included fun games and friendly competitions, all aimed at fostering empathy, inclusivity, and a deeper appreciation for neurodiversity.

Each student received a puzzle piece, representing the diversity and uniqueness of individuals on the autism spectrum. They also took time to learn and talk about autism, sharing facts with their classmates, and wore creatively designed shirts to show their support for autism acceptance.

“It was a powerful and positive celebration of awareness and acceptance within the Excel community,” said Sadiqa D. Lucas, M.Ed., executive director, Excel Middle Years Academy.
