High Road School of Mt. Healthy is now enrolling for the 2025-26 school year

CINCINNATI, Aug., 11, 2025Specialized Education Services, Inc. (SESI), a division of FullBloom, a premier provider of education services for K-12 students who require additional educational and positive behavioral supports to overcome challenges that impede success in a traditional school setting, today announced the opening of High Road School of Mt. Healthy in Cincinnati, Ohio. Located at 1310 Adams Road, the addition marks SESI’s fourth private day school in the state and its first in the greater Cincinnati region. Enrollment is now open for the 2025–26 school year.

The opening of the 40,000-square-foot facility builds on a four-year partnership with Mt. Healthy City Schools, in which SESI previously operated an in-district classroom serving students with special education and behavioral needs.

Designed for students in grades K-12 (ages 5-22) with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), the High Road School of Mt. Healthy will provide a structured, supportive learning environment to nurture students’ academic, social, and behavioral growth. It features small class sizes, evidence-based practices, a standards-aligned curriculum, sensory supports, and behavior modification strategies.

“We’ve seen the need in this community firsthand and are excited to offer a state-of-the-art building where students can learn, grow, and thrive,” said Anna Boggs, regional director for SESI in Ohio. “With the support of Mt. Healthy and surrounding districts, we’re meeting students where they are and helping them reach their full potential.”

The High Road School of Mt. Healthy offers three specialized Learning Pathways, each grounded in a Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) that promotes growth, reduces barriers to learning, and equips learners with the tools they need to succeed in school and beyond:

  • Spark: For students needing academic and behavioral support, focused on transitioning to less restrictive settings.
  • Spring: For students with emotional or mild cognitive disabilities, combining academics with life skills instruction.
  • Bloom: For students with moderate to severe cognitive disabilities or autism, emphasizing functional academics, communication, and daily living skills.

A variety of related services are available, including Applied Behavior Analysis, speech-language therapy, motor labs, sensory integration, and social work support tailored to student needs. The school also includes washer-dryer units for life skills training, a garden, and future plans for a café or coffee cart to support pre-employment skill-building. A nearby marshland is also being developed for on-site field trips and hands-on science learning.

Leading the school is Steve Dishon, a veteran educator and advocate for students with complex learning needs. A Cincinnati-area native, Dishon has spent his career serving youth who are impacted by generational educational challenges.

“Helping kids succeed academically, socially, and emotionally is what drives me,” Dishon said. “At High Road School of Mt. Healthy, we’re not just filling a need, we’re creating a place where students feel seen, supported, and celebrated.”

To engage families and local stakeholders, the school will host a community open house this fall, along with Lunch and Learn events for local district partners. For more information, or to inquire about enrollment, visit: https://sesischools.com/location/high-road-school-of-mt-healthy/.
