Mr. Smith’s Encouragement

Mr. Smith encourages his students to always give their best effort. He makes each one feel they can always achieve. He goes over and beyond his job duties as teacher. During the month of October alone, his students not only learned math, they made homemade ice cream, carved jack-o-lanterns and built a life-size scarecrow. Learning About “Adulting”

Students of our 2019-2020 senior class will be the first to take part in HRS of Philadelphia’s newly established senior seminar course. HRS Transition Coordinator Mr. Demby, in partnership with the Office of Vocational Rehabilitation, developed the course to teach seniors important skills related to potential careers, college/careers and life after high school. Course themes include interviewing, money and time management, social media do’s and don’ts, renting/buying a home and much more. Donuts for Dad

Our annual Donuts for Dad event brings dads and father-figures together for a couple hours of games and, of course, donuts. Lots and lots of donuts!
